Casa Silva Gran Terroir single vineyard Los Lingues Cabernet Sauvignon

Composition:

100% Cabernet Sauvignon

Origin:

Colchagua Valley, Chile
Vineyard / Estate / Viticulture:
Soil Type: The soil is of alluvium-colluvial origin and is composed of ancient terrace formations. Low organic matter and medium-low fertility. The profile varies in texture of fine sand, clay and angled granite stones, with excellent drainage. The estate, being at the foot of the Andes, has a unique and varied topography, being a fascinating place to do micro-terroir studies. Special Vintage Info: Temperate Mediterranean climate. The influence of the Andes Mountains is felt through cool nights that allow day-night thermal oscillations of up to 20 o C, ideal for the concentration of fruit in the grapes. The opening between the two mountain ranges creates a breeze that maintains the uniform temperature between the clusters and ensures an excellent sanitary condition. Also here, there average rainfall is lower than the rest of the valley. The wines are of exceptional quality, great body and colour, with natural sweetness and soft tannins.

Tasting Notes:
Dark ruby colour. On the nose, ripe red fruits with notes of black pepper and hints on tobacco. On the palate, powerful, yet soft, it is round with firm tannins, that lead to an excellent and very long finish.
